First of all, a couple of things we wanted to make sure you knew:
1. If you would like to receive an email each time this site is updated, send us an email, or click on the "Comments" link at the bottom of this entry and let us know. The software we use can send an email to you automatically each time we post an update!
2. Many of you saw it, but for those that didn't, there is a link called "Comments" at the bottom of each entry. Click this link and you can post a comment to the website to share your thoughts (and read others' comments, which is just as fun). We love to hear from you!
3. Previous entries can be seen in a number of ways. The "Recent Entries" section on the left lists the titles of the last few entries. Click on one of the titles to go to that entry. You can also use the calendar at the left - click on any underlined date to see the entry for that date. Finally, the archives section will show you all the entries for a given month, but that could get quite long towards the end of the month!
We're still working on writing up the birth story. Madeline is great during the day, but at night she doesn't want to sleep in her cradle. She loves to be tightly swaddled and held - we think it's the body warmth. Anyway, our nights at home have been spent trying to find a safe position to hold her and sleep. So far the armchair/ottoman in the living room is working best, but we're still experimenting, and hoping she'll get over this phase! (There's worse to come, we're sure!)

Madeline with her eyes open for once!

At home with Daddy in the rocking chair.

Hey! It's cold out here!

Hang in there, Little Madeline! Grandma is coming!! The purple chair is all mine and I don't sleep nights through either. We'll be on the road in 24 hours. Love and Hugs from Iowa -- Grandma R.
A big welcome to Madeline.
When can we hold her??????????????
She is a real beauty. Congrats!
Congratulations! She is a darling. Glad to see you made it to the concert Sat. evening. Or did you. Are you bringing her to class in Dec.? I am a grandma too, so I have experience. Fellow Cohort classmate.
You didn't happen to get the names & phone numbers of any of those cute nurses, did you?
Just askin'...
Congratulations Eric and Lisa!! She is a cutie. Can't wait to see her in person:) I will be praying for you all. Joy
What a cute baby! Congrats to you two lucky parents! I can't wait to see her!
It was great to talk with you over the 'phone, but posting the congratulations here will help to make them "official." L'il Miss Madeline is beautiful! You are truly blessed.
p.s. Eric, may I consider myself a person of honorary avuncular status?
Congrats on the new addition to your family! I am not quite sure how you are managing to take care of an infant and update a web page! Please notify me when the page is updated. I look forward to holding her. Congratulations!
Well...Well...It is your turn Eric to see how I felt two years ago. She is so cute. Congratulations to you and your wife Lisa. You can bring Madeline to the audit next year. I think she would help me out alot by not letting daddy fine any work for me to research. (smile) Have a good one and again CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Eric, Lisa and Madeline Marie,
I am throughly enjoying the web pages. Keep me on the update notification list.
Has Madeline held her first "snowflake" yet?
Blessings,
Maurita
She's a cutie! I'm very happy for you. Enjoy the roller coaster ride!
