This has been a week of indulging Madeline's whims and ensuring that she gets her recommended daily allowance of attention. Not that it goes to her head.
First of all, Madeline had her first dance recital. She's been going to a dance class for a nember of weeks and today they did their performance for all the parents. Fortunately, there were no mirrors in which she could admire herself like she does at home. But she did great all the same!

Isaac cheers from the audience.
Next, it was finally warm enough to brave a night out camping in the tent. Knowing better, we camped in the back yard, which was a good move given Maddie's numerous sorties to the potty. She squirmed like a squirrel all night and woke up at 5:30 am, but nevertheless, success was declared.

Madeline shows off the flowers she planted in her Rainbow playhouse.

Well, we're off for more fun this weekend. Hope your holiday is fun and safe.

These photos clearly captured the spirit of "summer blessings". Thanks for your sharing your family moments.
Blessings,
Maurita
Madeline: You are a precious Bella Dancerella!! You look so cute in your tutu and poises. Isaac is a great little brother to cheer you on. And your campout looks so fun, too! I hear Daddy had his wireless laptop stashed in the tent as well! Your playhouse looks so nice with its flowers. Make sure you water them every day! Missing you all so much -- hugs from Iowa, Grandma R.
I just LOVE your summerpictures...thanks for sending them. Madeline was certainly a precious and precocious ballerina who has a brilliant future. That photo of Isaac in the swimming pool is just priceless too. It's great you can take time for those overnight camping adventures in the backyard.....lots of memories to treasure. Happy Summer!
