Here are some pictures from our August adventures!

We went on a bike ride on the Cannon Valley trail.

Isaac checks the weather forecast before a recent outing.

Celebrating my birthday. That is a lot of candles...

We escaped to Duluth for a brief weekend, camping on Spirit Mountain and catching the sights. As usual, us camping turned into cold, rain and wind. But we all had a lot of fun anyway. Here are Lisa and the kids in the shelter on Brighton Beach.

Late evening on the breakwater on Minnesota Point.

Engine and coal car outside the Duluth train museum.

Isaac's ready to drive the engine. He was impressed, but felt it needed a steering wheel...

Maddie and Isaac try out the trolley.

Isaac and cousin Clara stroll the breakwater.

I'm liking this one!

The Paul R. Tregurtha, the largest boat currently operating on the great lakes, is about to go under the Lift Bridge. This is a really big ship!

Half-way through...

Passing under the Lift Bridge.

A final view as it heads out from port.
School starts soon, so the kids are wrapping up their summer and preparing for their new routines. We'll be back with more!

We always enjoy your photos.....thanks for sharing. I'm going to forward these pictures to Gary and Tina because she graduated from St. Scholastica in Duluth. Have a great school year with the children. Love, Carol and Jim
Great end-of-summer weekend! We spent our Duluth time in a warm, dry motel at the foot of Spirit Mountain a few years ago. The walk you took at night was beautiful! I can't believe you two aren't in school yet. Our pools have been closed for nearly a month as everyone is back in class. See you all very soon! 10 days and counting! Hugs, Grandma Iowa
Wow, the kids have grown!!! Great Duluth pics. Kyler has been in school for 8 days now,he is a freshman in high school this year!! So far so good!!Happy Belated Birthday Eric and Lisa, there wasn't as many candles as Grandma had two years ago!!! Barb,Tim and Kyler
Wonderful photos and enjoyed. I use my lap top to share them with Grandma Mary and Barb often prints 8 x 11 so she can hold the memories. The children are growing up so fast.
Thank you.
